The Llyn Peninsula, Snowdonia, ( now called its welsh name Eryri), Anglesey, Caernrfon Bay, Cardigan Bay, the Menai Strait and the Northern Coast of Wales are all within driving distance.
One of our favourite things about Porthyraur (dog friendly self-catering accommodation in Criccieth) is the wonderful view of Criccieth castle. We couldn’t get any closer! We particularly love it when it is lit up at night!The dining room has a window seat where you can sit and admire the beautiful castle view.

SLEEPS 2
The self contained studio sleeping 2 has Wifi, Sky TV and central heating. The living/sleeping area and kitchen are all in one open plan space with a double bed.
The studio is a separate building to the main house with its own small outdoor area and its own entrance.

Payment can be made by bank transfer or credit card. You can book and pay through the website or contact us and we can send an invoice.
We allow two well behaved dogs with no charge when you book direct in our dog friendly self-catering accommodation in Criccieth. See the dogs page for more details.
There is private parking for 2 cars when hiring the cottage.
For the studio there is free on street parking.
Deposits are normally a third of the total cost with the balance due six weeks before your stay. We are currently offering low deposits of £250 for stays in 2023 costing over £1000.
Yes a bath sheet and hand towel is provided per person as is all bed linen. Please bring your own beach and dog towels.
Check-in is from 4pm and check-out is by 10am, we try and accommodate check in/out requests where possible but this is dependant upon availability.
YES- We have stair gates, a highchair, travel cot, baby bath and monitor available in our Criccieth holiday cottage. We also have child friendly plastic cutlery plates etc.
We are looking at ways that we can improve our eco friendliness!
We have installed smart thermostats to both properties.
All rubbish is split into waste and recyclable materials by our waste management company upon collection.
We would love to hear guest feedback to help us discover new ways in which to be eco friendly!

The EV charger is available when hiring the cottage.
There is a security code needed which will be provided just before your stay providing that the £30 fee has been paid.
£30 covers up to 100 KW of usage. As per our T&C’s and usage over and above this will be payable post stay.
